P4DTI issue job000111

TitleReplicator destroys the jobspec that exists before it's installed
Statusclosed
Priorityessential
Assigned userRichard Brooksby
OrganizationRavenbrook
DescriptionThe replicator writes a completely new jobspec to Perforce when it's started up. This destroys any existing jobspec and invalidates any existing jobs in the Perforce repository. There's no warning about this in the manual.
AnalysisThis is the behaviour we've designed, to simplify configuration, but we need to make sure people know about it. RB 2000-12-01
How foundinspection
EvidenceIt's been bothering me since I made the decision to simplify the configuration process.
