Title | Replicator destroys the jobspec that exists before it's installed |
Status | closed |
Priority | essential |
Assigned user | Richard Brooksby |
Organization | Ravenbrook |
Description | The replicator writes a completely new jobspec to Perforce when it's started up. This destroys any existing jobspec and invalidates any existing jobs in the Perforce repository. There's no warning about this in the manual. |
Analysis | This is the behaviour we've designed, to simplify configuration, but we need to make sure people know about it. RB 2000-12-01 |
How found | inspection |
Evidence | It's been bothering me since I made the decision to simplify the configuration process. |
