| Analysis | GDR 2001-10-22: TeamTrack build 50111 corresponds to the TeamTrack "5.0 Service Pack 1". TeamShare say that it won't work with the P4DTI. This is because the installation procedure needs to be different. You have to stop and start TeamTrack between the P4DTI adding the fields to the TeamTrack database and the P4DTI starting to poll the database [1]. (Note that there's currently no opportunity to do so.) We could work round this by changing the P4DTI installation procedure: namely, detecting the TeamTrack version (how?) and stopping the replicator after adding the new fields to the TeamTrack database, with a request to stop and start the TeamTrack web server. GDR 2002-01-08: The P4DTI now works with TeamTrack 5.02 so there is no pressing need to support TeamTrack 5.01 [2]. Therefore I fixed this defect by documenting in the release notes and the Administrator's Guide that TeamTrack 5.01 is not supported. It seems likely that any P4DTI release that supports TeamTrack 5.02 will work with TeamTrack 5.01, but we don't have the budget to support 5.01 as well. |
