Load File: tetris.sml To play from inside MLWorks, at the listener prompt type test (); or tetris ("Your Name", ); where is an integer from 1 to 5 inclusive, and "Your Name" is your name as you want it to appear in the high-score table. The high-score table is written to a file `highscores.tet' which is re-loaded when the game is run again, or, if the file cannot be found a new file is created. Controls for the game are: S start / restart l move piece right h move piece left i rotate piece anticlockwise o rotate piece clockwise (hold down) move piece down more quickly X quit To run as a standalone executable first compile and load the module as usual using the project workspace. Then create an executable file, for instance by doing MLWorks.Deliver.deliver ("tetris",appl("Me",4),MLWorks.Deliver.WINDOWS); (appl("Me",4) is a function of type unit -> unit which allows the demo to be run without invoking MLWorks). After delivery, the MLWorks session will exit. The file `tetris.exe' can then be run from the command-line. Note that MLWorks executables depend on the MLWorks runtime shared library (DLL). If the DLL cannot be found, either add the bin subdirectory of the current directory to your path environment variable, or run the executable from either the bin directory or the directory in which it is located.
