P4DTI issue job000424

TitleNo support for migrating users to TeamTrack
Statussuspended

DescriptionThe P4DTI provides no automated support for migrating users from Perforce to TeamTrack. So you have to create them all by hand. The P4DTI TeamTrack integration is now maintained and supported by TeamShare <http://www.teamshare.com/>.
AnalysisThis is because the TeamShare API has no method for creating a new user. If you try to add records to the USERS table then the TeamTrack Administrator starts behaving strangely: this suggests that there are schema constraints that are not being satisfied (ITEMNOTIFICATIONS, MEMBERS, NOTIFICATIONPERMISSIONS, NOTIFICATIONS, NOTIFICATIONSUBSCRIPTIONS, NOTIFICATIONMESSAGES, SYSTEMINFO.TS_USERCOUNTER are possible locations for such constraints).
Note that TeamShare made a decision not to support addition of users through the API [2].
