| Description | The Administrator's Guide is too hard to use. Administrators are busy people and sometimes don't read all the documentation. |
| Analysis | We should take a pass over the prerequisites and configuration, work out the minimum nmber of steps required, document it as a procedure (which would refer to the more complete details elsewhere). The comments in config.py could be removed (to force people to go to the AG) and that file reordered so that it had "things you must change now" first and "things you might like to think about later" afterwards. We did some major rewrites of the manuals between 2000-12 and 2001-02; they are much better now. |
