It is important for administrators to understand that ongoing poll failure is bad, causing increasing stress on the P4DTI, increasing numbers of e-mail reports (e.g. conflict reports), steady loss of database consistency, and exponential P4DTI back-off. The troubleshooting section should have a whole subsection on this, identifying common causes of poll failure and giving advice. |
